Who I am
I am a counselor with a background in psychology, education, and addiction treatment. My training and work have taken place across Europe and the United States, and I offer counseling in English and Albanian. My experience in addiction treatment informs my work with adults in early recovery and those continuing their recovery after treatment.
I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at East Carolina University, with a specialization in addictions. My earlier studies include clinical psychology and educational research, along with psychodrama training in Europe.
How I work
I draw on psychodynamic perspectives, motivational interviewing, and practical strategies. I pay attention to the roles you have learned to take on, the relationships around you, and the changes you want to make.
Some conversations help us understand a pattern. Others help us decide what to do the next time it happens. There is room for both.
Culture, stories, and everyday life.
I am interested in the connection between culture and emotional life, the lessons we find in old stories and philosophy, and the space nature gives us to slow down. These interests inform the questions I bring to my work.
I provide counseling in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate under Board-approved supervision.
